Dear Falcon Families,

Three years ago the FishHawk Creek PTA started an Annual Donation drive replacing traditional fundraising such as Boosterthon.

We rely on these parental and community donations to ensure we have the necessary resources so our children can receive an excellent educational experience. In order to maintain and keep PTA programs functioning, our goal is to raise $30,000. This breaks down to a donation of $30/child or $60/family. This option gives families the opportunity to give DIRECTLY to our school, with 100% of the money benefiting PTA Programs. We hope you will make a donation to support your child’s education.

Some examples of our programs are:

Field Day – Back to School Ice Cream Social- Grounds Beautification – Reflections – Author visits – Staff/Teacher Appreciation- Hospitality room for Veteran’s Day Program – Day of Remembrance (9/11) activity – Student Recognition (including spirit sticks) – Annual Walk to School Day- Community Service Night-Hospitality room for Great American Teach In-Family Nights-and the Tri-School Concert.

In addition to PTA programs and events, the PTA has purchased and provided the school with the following:

Classroom laptops – Mimeos, Classroom equipment, Picnic Tables, Pavers, Remodeled Teacher’s Lounge, Musical Instruments, PE equipment, Butterfly Garden maintenance, Battle Books, Books for the media center, Digital Marquee, Small covered pavilion with 8 picnic tables behind the school, Obstacle course equipment, sound system for the covered courts for PE, and Umbrellas for picnic tables.

 This One-Time Donation does not cover the following PTA sponsored but not funded events:

* All 5th grade fundraisers – which support the 5th grade field trip and banquet.

* Falcon Festival – ALL proceeds go directly to the teacher’s classroom.

* Holiday Shop – ALL proceeds are donated to a local Title 1 elementary school in need.

Also, the one-time donation does not cover school-sponsored events not associated with the PTA. These include the Cookie Dough Fundraiser, Celebrate the Arts and the Book Fairs.

Each child participating in the One-Time Donation will receive a spirit stick. In addition, each class reaching 95% participation by the halfway mark on September 7th will be able to participate in our “Caps ‘n Jersey Day.”

Corporate matching from your employer can double your donation! In addition, family relatives can also increase your family’s donation. We are a tax-exempt, non-profit 510(c)(3) organization, so ALL donations are tax deductible! We are very thankful for any and all donations; every donation will help us reach our $30,000 goal by October 13th and provide the necessary resources to your school.

For your convenience, we will accept cash or check; you may send it in an envelope with your student to school. If you would like to pay by credit card, you may go to the PTA website and make your donation online. Checks can be made to FishHawk Creek Elementary PTA.
